Turn On and Turn Off Saved Passwords in iOS Chrome App

The Chrome Saved Password feature can be turned on or off in a few steps.

Select the Chrome icon on the iOS device to open the Chrome browser. Select the Chrome menu, the three horizontally-aligned dots located at the bottom of the screen. In the pop-up menu that appears, select Settings. Select Passwords. Tap the Save Passwords toggle switch to turn on or turn off this feature.

If you are signed in to Chrome and syncing passwords, you can view, edit, or delete passwords that have been stored. Go to passwords.google.com on a computer and enter your Google account credentials.

If you haven’t synced passwords, your passwords are only stored on the iPhone or another iOS device where you saved them.

Sign in With a Saved Password in iOS Chrome App

If you use the saved passwords, the process is practically automatic.

Open the Chrome app on the iOS device. Go to a site you visited before. Go to the site’s login form. Chrome fills in the sign-in form automatically if you saved the password in the past. If Chrome doesn’t suggest a password, select Passwords above the keyboard, verify your identity with print or face recognition, then select your login information from the screen that opens.

Permanently Delete Saved Passwords in iOS Chrome App

If you prefer not to save your passwords and want to remove those you saved on your iPhone in the past, you can permanently delete those passwords on the device:

In the Chrome app, tap the three-dot menu at the bottom of the screen and select Settings in the pop-up menu. Select Passwords. Select Edit at the top of the Passwords screen. Select each saved password you want to remove to place a check mark next to it. Select Delete at the bottom of the screen to permanently delete the selected passwords.
