This new communication wheel allows players in Overwatch to have far more voice lines meant for in-game communication purposes. Using these new lines allows players to say things like “Sorry”, “Help”, and “You’re Welcome”. However, one line that players may want to use often is “No.”

Unfortunately for players wishing to use this new feature, it can’t be used right away in-game. The voice lines must first be set up in the options menu. Since this might take some time, it is recommended that players do this in the main menu and not in-game.
First, players should go to the options menu and go to the Controls Tab. Scrolling down will show a new section showing the Communication Wheel options. From there, players can choose which specific communication-specific voice lines they can have on their wheel. The communication voice line options are:
Hello Need Healing/Buffs Group Up Ultimate Status Acknowledge Voice Line Wheel Emote Wheel Thanks Attacking Countdown Defending Fall Back Go Going In Goodbye Incoming Need Help No On My Way Press The Attack Push Forward Ready Sorry With You Yes
These voice lines can also be bound to specific keys and gamepad buttons for quick usage. Blizzard additionally reduced the cooldown of saying voice lines with players able to say up to three in rapid succession. There is a short delay in spamming these voice lines in between sets of three.
All of these new additions are most likely going to carry over onto Overwatch 2 since players can crossplay with the original Overwatch. In the meantime, players are sure to enjoy this returning Overwatch event as they get to play all of the other event-exclusive game modes and get the chances to obtain older event skins from events past.
Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
