How to Use Music Sharing
If you want to try out this feature for Alexa, there are a few things that need to be considered.
First, you must have the friend’s contact information with whom you want to share music in your Alexa contacts.
Secondly, you need to enable Alexa Communications on your account by opening your Alexa app for iOS or Android and navigating to the Communicate tab.
While both of you need an Echo device for this to work, it doesn’t matter what music streaming service each person uses.
All you have to do is simply say, “Alexa, share this song with [person],” and the virtual assistant will take care of the rest.
The recipient will get a notification on their Alexa app, and they’ll be able to listen to the song on any Echo device by asking Alexa to play their messages.
When you receive a song from a contact, Alexa will find it on your default music streaming service or another one available to you. Alexa will suggest a station based on the artist’s name or song title if a matching song cannot be found.
Share Music With Your Friends
So the next time you want to share your favorite song with a friend, just use Alexa Music Sharing. It’s an easy way to keep everyone connected—and entertained.
They’ll be sure to appreciate the gesture, and you’ll love the convenience of this new feature. Thanks, Alexa.
